PLEASE do not give me a 4 star for location! If you want to be closer to your venue then book closer to it! We are where we are and that’s that! Thank you. 🤩 ♥️ 🙏
Your bed is a super comfy queen-sized double bed. If you need a second room for a fellow guest, please enquire about this as we have a smaller room with futon which is sometimes available. Free breakfast can be included if desired. There is a kettle in your room with free teas and coffees. There is plenty hot water available for a relaxing hot soak in the bath after your show - no shower here but theatres usually have shower facilities. (Also, if you are a member of Pure Gym there is one across the road 🙂). There is a desk and plenty storage space, a radio/alarm clock/usb ports, lamps, hairdryer, clothes horse (washing machine available), fibre broadband, own keys to bedroom door, front and back door. Independent access via lockbox at rear of house. Supermarket/gym/takeaways/petrol station/cafe/pub/buses across the road. Robroyston train 15 min walk. Bus stop across road at Asda 24/7 supermarket. Quiet street, private gardens, good neighbours.
Plenty shelving/storage in wardrobe. The room with the Futon is normally the host’s therapy room, so the treatment couch is in the cupboard space of the room. Both rooms have the same facilities. Smoking fine just not in the house :) Shared bathroom- no shower, just a lovely hot bath.
The house is situated in a private estate 20 minutes by taxi from city centre. Train station 15 min walk (Robroyston) or you could park your car at the station (or take your Brompton there) if you’re using train to commute- takes 11 mins to city centre. This is a handy service and quick and peaceful. Can also park your car here at the house. Or get the bus from Asda Robroyston supermarket across the road- number 8 (FirstBus), number 19a (FirstBus only on Sundays) or number 72 (Craigs of Cumbernauld, though this stops early). The 57a FirstBus comes up on the search as well but is actually a good 15 minute walk from the house.
Kings Theatre 5 miles; Theatre Royal 5 miles; Royal Concert Hall 5 miles; SECC/Armadillo/Hydro 7 miles; Citizens Theatre 5 miles.
I've been reliably told that to get to The Kings Theatre and to The Theatre Royal takes 20 minutes from here on the Brompton bike and half an hour back (uphill!). Queen Street train station is a short walk from the theatres, from where you can get the train to Robroyston or jump in an uber.
Pick up/drop off from/to town is possible depending on my shifts £10 (20 minutes); or £20 for Glasgow Airport (30 minutes).
Our house is comfortable and well-stocked. It is not a hotel! So if you would like fresh towels or sheets after a few days or so, you need to let me know! You are very welcome to socialise/watch tv/play piano downstairs in the open plan kitchen/dining/living area and help yourself to fruit, toast, tea, coffee etc. Guests usually have the top shelf in the fridge in the kitchen for their own use. Upstairs the bathroom is shared (no shower), as is the wc downstairs. We have an enclosed private garden. Please make yourself at home.
Three friendly cats live here too.
Guests always comment on great ambience and warm welcome here.
Smokers fine, just not in the house.
If you are just booking the double bed on its own, please be aware that there may well be another non-theatre guest staying in the Futon room.

The Host has indicated to TheatreDigsBooker that the following ticked measures are in place.
The host hasn't yet indicated the accessibility of these digs.
The ground floor is all on one level. There is a wooden child's high chair which can be adapted to suit the age of the child (up to 10). There are wooden bowls/plates and melamine plates and cups. The child would sleep on the futon which is low to the ground and therefore the child is not at risk of falling out. The back garden is enclosed by a gate. There is a swing and a slide. There are many children's books. There are board games and some toys. There is a nice park behind the house for walks. Hogganfield Loch is 5 minutes away by car.
There is a step at the front and back door. It would probably make sense therefore to keep a pram/buggy in the garage.
