Guests in the past have said they appreciate being able to relax in the home, sharing the living space/tv/dining area, being able to enjoy a decent, hot bath. It is a peaceful area; there are blackout curtains in the room with the queen double bed. Own kettle and/mini fridge can be arranged. Fresh towels on demand, free breakfast and some toiletries. Bus service (72) from across the road or 11 minute train journey from Robroyston (20 min walk). Car to the theatre is 15 mins.
Guest Parking
You are welcome to park outside the house. The space is shared with my own car and my son who is not always here. There is space alongside the hedge outside the house as well as across the road. Just be aware that Glasgow city council have started fining people who park on the pavement or a dipped pavement so make sure all 4 wheels are on the road!
The Area and Transport
Lovely clean room in North-east suburb of the city; double bed within family home; by car from the city takes 15 minutes. Local train station is Robroyston where you can leave your car in their car park at the train station and take the train into town (11 minutes to Queen Street). However, it is a 20 minute walk from the house to the train station and not advisable with heavy luggage as the road is extremely busy and pavements not great. Another option for getting into town is to take the number 72 bus from across the road at the Asda supermarket which takes around 35 minutes to the city centre. Please note there’s no shower here, just a lovely, hot bath but all the theatres have showers as you know. This is a family home and we have been welcoming folk for many years. We prefer to keep it relaxed and harmonious 😊- you are very welcome to make yourself a cuppa or chill in the living room.

All bedrooms have a lockable door. My son stays here at times so you may be sharing the bathroom with him at times. You are welcome to share the living room, dining room and kitchen, all open plan. There is a downstairs loo as well. If you are bringing your bike you can store it in the lockable garage. You will have your own keys. Plenty hot water always available for lovely hot bath. Free tea/coffee.

I enjoyed my stay at Diana's. The house was clean, comfortable and calming. She and her sons were nice and friendly. The commute to the town centre was fine. It is located in the quiet suburb of Glasgow and I highly recommend it for anyone who want to feel relaxed after the busy day at work in the town centre.

Diana is a lovely host and her digs provide the perfect home from home when working away for a concert or tour. It’s really easy to get from her house into Glasgow on the bus and it was perfect for my couple of nights in the city. Thank you so much!

Diana is a wonderful host, her house is warm and welcoming. My stay was brief but had everything I needed. I cycled into Glasgow (about 25-30 mins, mostly flat or downhill and only one muddy bit) and then took the train back via Robroyston and a 7 min cycle from station. If weather was good, would have cycled back as well. Would stay again, toasty home, comfy bed, great host! Thank you!

Diana made me feel right at home. Even offered to drop me off at the station as the weather was miserable and i has lots of luggage. Lord of extra touches to make me feel at ease and welcome. A wonderful memorable stay

Had a very good stay at Diana’s. She’s great company but always gives you space. There’s a genuine creative atmosphere in the house as well as a number of friendly cats. Couldn’t ask for more.

Lovely stay with Diana. A car for the quick hop to the train station would be so easy to do. I decided to go ‘outward-boundsy’ and Brompton it at night - not far at all but it’s dual carriageway. The fantastic 24 hr Asda and Macky D makes up for it!

Had a lovely stay with Diana, she made me feel so welcome in her home, & I was there for a month in Glasgow over the busy Christmas period. She couldn’t have made me feel more comfortable. Easier if you drive, but I got buses & the train fine.
