Living with Host
Graham and I are rattling round in a spacious, sunny 6 bed house in Jesmond Dene.
At least two bright double rooms with a shared bathroom (best shower ever!)
All the shopping you need 2mns on Acorn Road from Waitrose to Tesco and Sourdough to Greggs. Dentists and Doctors are a stonesthrow. We are just over Armstrong Bridge so very handy for a stroll through the dene to Heaton past our iconic coffee shop Heaton Perk and 109 General Store for your less plastic refill options on your way to our favourite Ouseburn pubs The Free Trade Inn & The Cumberland Arms.
Happy to ignore you if you hate being 'hosted' or invite you right into our routine if you are feeling homesick. Comfy, warm, welcoming. If none of our 'kids' are in town, there are more rooms available-please ask. You can smoke outside (there's a big greenhouse for the winter chuffers) We have two cats - both quite old-will update if the situation changes! Frustrated gardeners welcome to help weed!
Guest Parking
We are lucky to be able to offer rare off street, private and secured parking . The rest Jesmond is largely permit parking only.
The Area and Transport
Uniquely situated within the Jesmond Dene Conservation area this is the quietest and most relaxing environment in which to unwind and or rehearse. A nearly continuous 30min parkland walk to Theatre Royal, Tyne Theatre , Alphabetti. Same for the Quayside Glasshouse / Live Theatre via Ouseburn pubs and restaurants . Metros and buses are a 5min walk through Jesmond.

Currently none of the bedroom doors are lockable but thumb turn locks can be added if its a dealbreaker
The two/three attic rooms have 1 shared bathroom for their exclusive use
There is a dining /TV/Garden Terrace room for the guest which can be exclusive if you desire.
The entrance hall , kitchen and garden are shared
There is a second host bathroom (with a bath) that can be used by tenants on request

Wonderful stay at Jacqui's. Beautiful spot on Jesmond Dene, super comfortable room and a really excellent shower!! Super easy commute into Newcastle and also Whitley Bay. Thanks for a great stay.

A lovely house with lovely hosts. I was made to feel very welcome. It’s a 40 minute walk into the theatre but it’s a nice walk or there are busses and it’s not expensive in a taxi. I will definitely be back

Fantastic digs! Beautiful house, very friendly people, & a fantastic bed. Happy to let you be or provide a more hosted touch. They are a short bus ride from the theatre, or if you prefer to walk as I doors about 40 minutes. Fantastic part of Newcastle, & the Dene itself is gorgeous. Would definitely recommend x

Jacqui was an absolutely lovely host and made me feel very welcome and looked after in my short stay here! The room was clean, tidy and very cosy! Would definitely recommend staying here!
