Digs by the sea 🌊🐚🍦🌅 (Edinburgh)

Hi there!

I live alone in a moderately sized 2 bedroom mid-terrace house on 2 floors in a quiet cul-de-sac just a 30 second walk from Portobello Beach/Prom! 🏠🏖️

I work full-time shift work so out of the house on and off.

My house is in the process of being decorated but I have made it as cosy and comfortable as possible 💕

I have a large kitchen/diner and a modern bathroom which are communal rooms available to guests at any time. Guests also have access to their own fridge/freezer on the ground floor and a kettle/tea and coffee station outside their rooms on the first floor. ☕

The only room in the house that guests will have no access to is the living room as that is where I'll reside when I have guests.⛔

Each room has a TV which is linked to Virgin Media and has Prime and Netflix. One room has a king-size bed, small wardrobe, 2 bedside tables and a medium sized chest of drawers. The second room can be used as a single room or a twin room and has 2 bedside tables and a wardrobe with drawer underneath. Table/desk/comfy chair/coffee table etc can be provided on request if single occupancy. This room is currently not decorated but still cosy.

I now have a little Cavapoo puppy called Murphy 🐶 he is not allowed upstairs where the bedrooms are and can be kept out of the main part of the kitchen for anyone who prefers not to socialise with him. I am taking him for puppy classes soon but he is generally a good boy and only barks very occasionally (usually when I'm not getting his food ready quick enough 🙄) also if you love dogs you'll see every breed imaginable down on the prom! 🐕

I have a small front garden with a bench and a small rear garden with seating available and people are free to use these (do some gardening 🙃) whenever they like 🥀🌿🌼

There is free parking near my cul-de-sac including a car park on Bridge Street. 🚙

The High Street is a 2 min walk and everything you could need can be found there. I have an 'Aldi' 5 minute walk away and a great bus service into town 👍 🚌

There is no curfew (I'm not yer mum! 😅) and all I ask is you are quiet and respectful of others in the house when you come home. I am happy to do washing for you and have a tumble drier for quick turnarounds. 👕👖🧦

You will have lovely fresh bedding and towels provided and each room has lamps/fans. You are welcome to make yourself at home and how you choose to keep your bedroom is up to yourself. I hope it goes without saying that you tidy up after yourself in the communal areas though 😅

There is gas central heating, free WiFi and a fully fitted kitchen including microwave at your disposal.

Deposit is required to be paid at least 2 days in advance and the full amount paid on arrival 💰💷

If you would like evening meals provided this would be an extra £5 per person per meal 🍛🥗🍝 please request your meals a day ahead of requiring them and I will of course cater to any dietary requirements 😉

If you would like a guest to stay over the odd night then that may be possible for a small fee but this is by prior arrangement and on the understanding they respect the peace of all other residents 🤫🙃
