About these Digs
Living with Host
We have a quaint room to offer on The Avenue in central Southampton just 10-15 minute walk from the city centre with its own shower room.
Modern, double room with a wardrobe and a side table. Hangers and towels are provided, along with tea-making facilities, in your room.
Positioned with direct access onto decking which you are welcome to use during your stay.
The bathroom is just next door, off the kitchen with towels, mats and toiletries provided.
Wet Style shower room with tiled floor, with toilet towels & soaps provided.
We have two Airbnb rooms, with minimal impact on one another, however just to let you know :) We also have two dogs (shih-tzu & pekinese) who are kept with me during your stay.

🚗 Car Parking - on request - please request this as we are a 200-year-old property and it's permit on the street nearby.
Guest Parking
We do have parking, which is available (on street with permit). Permit Parking is by request as we are limited in terms of how many visitor permits we hold & we have two Airbnb rooms, so please do reach out when booking and ask, normally it's no problem at all.
The parking will be located on Padwell Road or Mordaunt Road, anywhere with a '5' on the parking signage which is plentiful.
The Area and Transport
We have a quaint room to offer on The Avenue in central Southampton just 10-15 minute walk from the city centre with frequent bus connections from directly outside to the Airport (30 mins), Station (10-15 mins) and Central Shopping Area (5 mins or 15 mins walk)
Local amenities are super close, with Lidl, Tesco Express only a 5 minute walk and further shops in the shopping centre (15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride)

Shared and Excluded Facilities
This space is shared with 2 Hosts and 2 other paying Guests.
The main downstairs bedroom, and adjacent wet room are for sole use of the downstairs guest. We have kitchen nearby which is shared with ourselves and occasionally our other airbnb guest (but rarely). We ask that guests just share when they plan to use it so we can pop in round you to cook.
The upstairs room and shared bathroom (only with ourselves) are solely for the Sue’s of the upstairs guest.
All bedrooms have lockable doors to ensure security for all guests as required.
Excluded Facilities
Upstairs is not accessible for the downstairs guest, nor the main sitting room/dining room off the entry way for any guests.

We ask that guests remove their shoes in the property (we provide slippers if needed)
The kitchen is shared, so we just ask that if used, items are cleaned/put in dishwasher after cooking so we can use the space.
Any food items do need to be brought with you, we provide plates, cooking utensils/pan s etc, but food/sauces/condiments will need to be be purchased to enable us to keep prices low.
We ask that cooking/common area noise is ceased by 10.30pm.
Please ensure rubbish is put in the correct bins, check the top of the recycling bin, before -popping in as Southampton only recycle certain items. Thank you 🙂
