Cosy single room in Freemantle (Southampton)

Recently decorated room with very comfortable [new] single mattress. It's a quiet back room with a view of the garden.

I can’t deny the room is small! And this is reflected in the price. But it really does have everything you need; from loads of storage and a smart TV, to USB charging points, Wi-Fi & a fan heater – there’s even a radio. Towels and linen are also provided. Sadly no ensuite, but you are right next to the loo and there’s another one downstairs if you’re desperate.

There is always free parking on the street outside. But transport links are good; it's 3 minutes walk to the bus stop and once you’ve hopped on board, only 10 minutes more to get to the Mayflower (the bus costs £2).

It takes even less than 3 minutes to walk to the train station… without printing the whole timetable, this is a handy way to get to Romsey & Salisbury!

It’s a 25 minute walk to town in one direction, and 15 minutes in the other direction to get to Shirley High Street on foot.

Sharing the usual kitchen facilities; oven, washing machine, fridge, microwave & air fryer, and you’ll have your own kitchen cupboard (you also have your own kettle/tea-making facilities in your room). You will be sharing just with me, and I will be out for at least some of the time. But I am always happy to help if you need anything.

There is a nice seated smoking area outside in the back garden with ashtray provided, but I would appreciate it if you didn’t smoke indoors! Guests are of course allowed, but not to stay overnight.

House plant warning: for those who suffer from hay fever, be warned that I have over 60 house plants.

This house also has a cat. Toby lives mainly out of doors (his choice!) – but as the weather gets colder, he will gravitate back inside, especially at night. Apologies in advance if he gravitates as far as your bed.
