A stylish, contemporary attic space, ideal for theatre professionals seeking comfort and convenience. Enjoy your own private floor, with a cosy double bedroom featuring two Velux windows (blackout shades for a restful sleep). The sitting room, with a bed settee, writing desk and smart TV, coffee machine, all offering a perfect retreat after a busy day. A small loo adds extra privacy and comfort.
In addition to your own space, you’ll have full access to the home’s kitchen, including shelf space in cupboards and fridge; bathroom and washer/dryer in the basement. Plus, enjoy the peaceful private back garden for relaxation.

The Area and Transport
Saltaire is a UNESCO World Heritage Victorian Village, renowned for its preserved industrial architecture and scenic surroundings. It is well connected by public transport, with Saltaire Station offering direct services to Bradford, Leeds, and Skipton. Bromley Road is 8 minutes walk from the station, and a 15-minute walk (approx. 0.7 miles) to the Alhambra Theatre. Regular public bus service, (5 mins walk from the digs) also connect to Bradford ensuring Saltaire is an ideal base for exploring local attractions, offering easy access to both urban and natural landscapes. The village has many bars and cafes, with the iconic Salts Mill and its galleries and shops, is a short walk from the station, approximately 5 minutes. For scenic walks, the Leeds-Liverpool Canal is nearby, offering a peaceful route through the village and beyond.

Wonderful stay with Julie in Saltaire. Ideal spot for commuting into Bradford or Leeds. Very comfortable room and lots of privacy with own living room space next door. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic Christmas stay with Julia and Mark while we worked our separate pantos in Bradford and Halifax. Their home was perfectly located, making it easy to get to the theatres. Saltaire was a lovely escape from the busyness of work.
Both the bedroom and private lounge were exactly as pictured and equally comfortable. We really appreciated having you both. We’d definitely stay again.

I booked Julia’s place for our lighting associate and they said it was really lovely and welcoming place to stay! Also the privacy of having the whole floor was like luxury! Julia was a great host with excellent communication throughout. I’ll definitely will be booking again when a team member needs a place to stay in Bradford.

Julia and Mark are the most wonderful hosts and their house is beautiful. The space is lovely as you not only have a double bedroom but a private spacious sitting room and your own toilet.
And Saltaire is stunning! I will definitely be back if Im working in the area again. Thanks so much!

Julia and Mark’s place is the BEST. A wonderful, vibrant and art-filled house in the lovely Shipley/Saltaire area.
The attic space is tastefully furnished, clean, warm and private.
They are wonderful humans: warm and easy going.
There is a regular bus (662 Shuttle, £2/trip, every 15mins) into town in the day, but it drops to once per hour at night, so to avoid an extended wait or a £10 Uber I had to drive each day and park in the Broadway.
I would 100% stay again.

Could not recommend a stay with Mark and Julia enough. Perfect location in beautiful and quiet Saltaire, spacious room and fantastic hosts. If you are working in Bradford or Leeds, this is the place!

Some of the best digs around! Wonderful hosts have a perfect balance of hands on and hands off I felt welcomed in and also left to my own devices. Mark gave me a lift to the incredible salts mill on a morning off and took me to the station at the end of my stay. Absolutely would recommend these digs.
I didn’t have a car with me so I was on foot. Bus was super easy in took around 30 mins door to door. Or train super cheap and easy.
Super comfy bed.
Beautiful deco/style.
10/10 would recommend.

Julia & Mark make touring life that little bit easier - they have such big hearts and really make you feel comfortable in their home. Staying in Saltaire feels special in its own way, but the cherry on top is the friendliness and warmth from these two people. Add to that the comfy bed, private toilet and adjacent living space and you’re onto a winner.

Julia & Mark were incredibly helpful in the run up & during my stay. Gorgeous home, perfect location for peaceful nature and cute shops. Comfy bed, loads of space with own sink, desk, loo and living room. I felt comfortable cooking, doing laundry, & sharing the bathroom. Easy to get in & out of Bradford via train, bus or car although public transport not super frequent so you need to plan. I recommend this home & would stay again for sure. My dog Ubi & I LOVED walking nearby. Thank you!

A fantastic stay with Mark and Julia. You must stay in Saltaire when touring to Bradford - made my 5 weeks there so enjoyable. Great room and lounge area with a little private toilet room. Perfect and great value for money. Can't recommend enough.

Stop looking, you have just found the most incredible theatre digs EVER, so book now. The home away from home, the Mum and Dad of Bradford and the BEST place I have ever stayed in! Only criticism is that I couldn't stay longer. Julia and Mark are beyond welcoming, very respectful of your space, super accommodating and great to have a natter with. The bed is so comfy I didn't want to leave and with the separate living room, loo and extra touches like tea it was perfect. Thank you I will be back x

An absolute hidden gem in a lovely location with free and easy parking. Julia and Mark are wonderful hosts. I stayed for 8 weeks over Panto season and would have happily moved in 🤣. Thank you again. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing accommodation whilst working in Bradford.

Julia’s home was so welcoming, Mark gave me a map with a map of the local area and loads of interesting facts. I could have stayed with Julia for much longer and wish my schedule was more relaxed to spend more time around Saltaire but I cannot recommend staying her enough! If I’m back in Bradford it will be my first port of call, easy parking if you’re a driver and multiple bus options if not. Also Julia makes a MEAN soup!

One of the nicest digs I have stayed in - Julia was so lovely and accommodating. The rooms are so spacious, clean and private and the surrounding area is lovely. Would definitely stay again!

The most accommodating, friendly hosts, loved staying here whilst performing at the Alhambra, distance from theatre (1hr 30min walk) but frequent buses into city centre. Would definitely stay again!

If you're working in Bradford, you'd be silly not to stay here! The house is in Saltaire - a short journey from the Alhambra but totally worth it. Julia & Mark create a home away from home & are incredibly warm & accommodating. Was totally uplifting!
