Living with Host
2 comfortable double room available. All bedding changed and pressed weekly. Rooms are cleaned weekly. All rooms and garden are available for use except our private room. It’s a Victorian house with many original features

In easy walking distance to the town centre and venues. Bus pass the bottom of the road every 10 minutes till 6pm and every 30 minutes after 6 till 11:30 pm

Our bedroom is the only room off limits. All other rooms and facilities are there and can be used. All bedrooms are lockable. Kitchen, dining room, bathroom, sitting room entrance hall are all communal

As previously stated our bedroom is the only private room that is accessible to guests.

There is an additional charge for overnight guests. We prefer shoes to be taken off in the hall. A full copy of the house rules are provided in the rooms

Theatre digs as they should be! Clean, comfortable, homely and made to feel very welcome by Mark and Dan and their gorgeous ‘fur babies’! Excellent value for money. Thanks chaps for a lovely stay!

A really lovely room, I stayed in the Stag Room for a few nights whilst working at the New Wolsey and the bed was comfy, house was clean and they also cleared a shelf in the cupboard and fridge for my food. Thank you for having me!

Mark and Dan are lovely hosts, and really interesting people to talk to. The New Wolsey is an easy walk. The room is spacious and the bed comfy. I will definitely be calling them next time Ipswich appears on my tour itinerary. Thank you for making me so welcome, and I hope Liza is settling in well.

It was one of the best stays ever! Daniel and Mark are the most incredible hosts you could ask for! They are super caring and thoughtful and from the very first moment they make you feel at home. Wouldn’t change a thing, maybe only to stay even longer :)) highly highly recommend!!!

Mark and Dan were absolute gems! The generosity and welcoming were beyond expectations and I truly felt at home, and supported with any need. I cannot recommend enough to book at their place, especially if you are an artist with a busy schedule ahead and the need to rest and cook peacefully in the evening or enthusiastic to chat about theatre! Their lovely puppy Terrier Bernie was the cherry on the pie for any animal lover!

Dan & Mark were very welcoming. Their home is well located with useful amenities nearby in the form of serval takeaways and a Tesco Express. The walk to the Regent Theatre and Ipswich town centre is straightforward. Thoroughly recommend staying at these welcoming and peaceful digs.

Fantastic! Dan and Mark are wonderful hosts and have a way of creating a very warm and comfortable atmosphere. The Fox room was cosy and the house in general is very tidy and well looked after, with everything you could possibly need. They also have a very cute dog! Zero complaints, an all round lovely stay :)

Really lovely stay. Mark and Dan are kind considerate hosts. The rooms are clean and comfortable and great value. Exactly what digs are meant to be - ran by people who care about performers! They also have an adorable dog. Will definitely book again if back in Ipswich.
