Living with Host
Large, light filled, double room with comfy bed, large wardrobe and chest of drawers. TV and mirror or desk if needed. This is a three storey semi detached Edwardian character house opposite Potternewton Park. It is a quiet & green suburban area with easy and fast access to Leeds City Centre. The area has a strong and friendly community with lots of lovely walks nearby in Gledhow Woods or Roundhay Park.
Our house reflects who we are and has lots of books, art on the walls and a big table in the well equipped kitchen to sit round and chat if you like, or peace and quiet too. Lots of space to lounge and relax in the living room.
Use of the garden which has table and chairs, is welcome.
Weekly cleaning and change of sheets and towels is included.

The bedroom is on the middle floor of the house. The bathroom with bath/shower and WC is next to the bedroom. We sleep upstairs and have our own bathroom. The room has a large wardrobe and chest of drawers. The bedroom has a smart tv with Freeview/Netflix and MUBI.
You will have access to the kitchen/living room and garden.
Family/friends/partners can stay free of charge (max 2 free nights).
Depending on work we are sometimes around during the day and more than happy to help with any information and finding your way around. Leeds is a thriving city with lots to explore.
The house is opposite the lovely Potternewton Park and a 15 minute walk to the shops/bars/cafes/gym/pool in Chapel Allerton.
There are two different bus routes (2 & 3 or 12 & 13) into Leeds city centre - (about 25 minutes). Walking distance to Northern School of Dance

Depending on the time of year our (quiet) daughter may be home from university in which case you would share the bathroom but otherwise it is for your sole use

The bathroom on the top floor of the house is adjacent to the hosts' bedroom and is not for guest use

Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. The room was perfect and everything was as described in the home of this friendly family in the suburbs of Leeds, ideally located for my work trip. I shall certainly be staying again.

What a lovely home, and what lovely hosts. Couldn't recommend this place any higher, just perfect. Great distance from the city centre, and very close to beautiful greenery. Thank you both for a great stay!

Beautiful period property with a lovely large double room in which I was very comfortable. I also had sole use of the bathroom. Allan made me feel very welcome and at home and even though the travel into the theatre usually took around 25 min (walk and bus) it was very manageable. Would definitely stay again.

Marvellous place to stay....lovely comfy bed, big spacious room, blackout curtains, quiet location, and beautiful bathroom to myself. The buses are a 10 minute walk, and about a 15 minute journey to the Grand Theatre.
Topping it all with charming, interesting hosts, I truly had a lovely stay, and would book again.

Sara and Allan are extremely kind, welcoming, and generous. They are eager to share the best of Leeds and the local area. When I found my pillows too big, Sara immediately found thinner and more suitable ones. My room was spacious and quiet, and the bed was extremely comfortable. There’s a big Tesco within walking distance, Roundhay park is a short drive, and the main theatres are ~40m walk or very bus-able. Interesting shops and food also in walking distance. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A fantastic space, a lovely room and great hosts. The bus stop isn't too far away but prepare for a hill! There beautiful park nearby and the hosts know all about what is good to do. I would definitively come back if I got another playhouse job.
