Living with Host

What does this mean?

My house is a characterful 17th century terraced cottage on one of Canterbury’s historic streets, with views of the Cathedral. The double bedroom is on the second floor and small but very comfortable. Please note that the stairs are quite steep and narrow. First floor bathroom and ground floor shower room are shared with host, and fresh towels are provided. Guests are very welcome to use the kitchen, microwave, etc.
Check-in is any time before 10:00pm, but please give at least 24 hours notice of your arrival time. Payment on arrival is appreciated.

Guest Parking

Use of a private, off-road parking space can be arranged at £10 per day. Please request in advance of arrival. Otherwise there are a car park and a multi-storey car park on Castle Street and car parks at both railway stations.

The Area and Transport

I am situated in the heart of Canterbury and less than 10 minutes walk from the Marlowe Theatre. Also within a short walking distance of both railway stations (5 minutes from Canterbury East, 15 minutes from Canterbury West), the bus station, shops, restaurants and pubs.

Shared and Excluded Facilities

This space is shared with 2 Hosts.

The guest bedroom is completely private, but for longer stays (ie over a week) the room will be cleaned and bed linen and towels changed on a weekly basis. WiFi QR code/password are provided on arrival. Bathroom and shower room are shared with host. Guests are very welcome to make full use of the kitchen, microwave, etc, but please return crockery and cutlery to the kitchen after use, and food waste should be placed in the kitchen bin, not left in the bedroom. There is also a recycling bin in the kitchen. Guest are welcome to use the two living rooms. Ditto the garden.

Touring is hard as it is, but it is made easier by Digs like these. My host was super considerate and respectful. And very patient with me arriving later than planned. The house was lovley and in a great location.

Perfect location to the theatre, lovely home, Iain was very welcoming. Quiet but central location. Very comfortable bed.
Definitely reccomend .
