DOUBLE ATTIC ROOMS
Comfortable Feather and Black double bed in separate bedroom. Yorkshire sash window provides ventilation. Cotton or linen bedding provided and fluffy towels. Black out curtains in bedroom. Wardrobe space, drawers, mirror and dressing table, hairdryer. Chaise, freeview television and full length mirror in the adjacent open plan sitting area. Kettle, teabags, iron, ironing board and clothes airer also provided in the rooms. Two flights of stairs, the second flight is steeper than the first. Wi-Fi, local information and radiator thermostats. Books and games available in room.
One partner/friend welcome to stay by prior arrangement at no charge (max 2 nights).
One shared bathroom with slipper bath and separate shower.
You are very welcome to use my shared kitchen including basic condiments and tea, herbal teas and fresh coffee. I’m pescatarian (mostly vegetarian) but happy for you to cook what you want. Washing machine is situated in the kitchen and airer available in your room or use the washing line in the garden.
Spare bedding and towels available at all times.

ANIMALS
There are 2 cats in residence - Maisie and Bertie - very sweet and friendly. For that reason it can be difficult to accommodate those wishing to stay with pets.
LOCATION
Newton Villas is situated in a tiny terrace in the heart of peaceful, leafy Chapel Allerton, a north Leeds suburb 2 miles from city centre. Chapel Allerton is one of those places that has lots of things that you don’t necessarily need but are really lovely to have. There are 3 supermarkets, coffee shops, bars, Gastropub, numerous restaurants as well as Yoga and Pilates studios, and a holistic centre. If you like cooking, there is an award winning cheese shop, fishmonger, greengrocer and butcher. There is also an arts centre which has interesting programming and a no more plastics shop. You can access pretty much everything you need close by or you can get a bus to Leeds from the bus stop which is a 2 minute walk away and takes between 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Buses are regular and reasonably priced. You can also walk to the city centre in about 40 minutes depending on how fast you walk. Car parking is free and situated about 150 metres from the house, or paid parking is available in front of the house in the co-op supermarket car park.
Taxis to city centre are around £8 currently, but may be subject to change.

Love staying with Maggie. This is my second stay and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Leeds. Wonderful company, beautiful and clean home. Highly recommend these digs and the kitties and Maggie’s kind and friendly nature is second to none.

I had the most wonderful stay in Maggie’s beautiful home. The room (large double) is very spacious and homely, and Chapel Allerton is a perfect base. It’s a really cute area, and the bus to the Grand Theatre leaves practically outside the house and is about 15/20 mins. Maggie is a super friendly and helpful host. I always have such a lovely time chatting in the kitchen. Would very highly recommend to anyone staying in Leeds and I’ve booked to stay again shortly. Thank you so much!

Maggie is a wonderful host. So comfortable to be around. Always happy to see you and have a chat. Can recommend places to go locally and in Leeds. Chapel Allerton is a great place to stay out of the buzz of the city and has amazing bars and with good restaurants on the doorstep. The bus to the center is very easy and cheap.
Would highly recommend and 100% stay again. For my last stay on a tour it was an absolute dream

I could not have wished for a more comfortable stay. Maggie, your house is amazing and you have great coffee. A short bus ride from the Grand and really close to shops etc. Thank you Maggie and I will book again.

Super place to stay I was in the Loft rooms, which meant I had a bedroom to myself and then another anti room with a lounger and TV great Wi-Fi, surrounded by Shops /Restaurants &10 min bus ride to town, Maggie is a great host… would stay again
