City Centre ensuite double room (Edinburgh)

It's a double en suite room in a third floor flat in Thistle Street, which is a lovely wee street (c1790) in the original part of Edinburgh's New Town, a few minutes' walk from Princes Street. It's next door but one to the Thistle Bar, there's a coffee shop opposite and very many restaurants and bars within easy reach - including several that do breakfast. Very convenient for Waverley Station and airport bus/trams.

The room is light and airy and the double bed is very comfortable. There isn't any storage space but I can provide plenty of hangers! There's internet access in the room but it can be a bit iffy, so you're better using the internet in the sitting room, which you're very welcome to use.

I don't do catering but you're also welcome to use the kitchen. I'm home most of the time these days and would enjoy having company but can make myself scarce whenever necessary because there's always work/writing to do. I'm used to having guests because friends have been using my spare room for years when temporarily based in Edinburgh.

One warning. Parking in central Edinburgh is very difficult especially in the Festival. Parking meters in Thistle Street currently cost £6 per hour.
