Living with Host

What does this mean?

We have two double bedrooms in a relaxed and friendly house. We’ve been offering digs to local theatres for the past eighteen years. We have a friendly dog and cat. I’m an holistic therapist so you can have treatments whilst you’re here! Use of kitchen is welcome. We are half an hour pleasant walk to the key theatre, a bit further to the new theatre or it’s an easy bus ride. There is parking at both theatres if you drive. Theres no tv in the rooms, but we have a second living room you’re welcome to use. There is good WiFi connection. The toilet and bathroom is just across the hall and you don’t need to share unless there are two people from the theatre. Use of garden if required. There are lovely local walks, ideal for jogging if you’re into fitness! And a nice walk to the theatre by the river

This space is shared with 2 Hosts and 1 other paying Guest.

The guest has their own bedroom and sole use of bathroom and toilet (not en-suite) the only time they would share is if we have two people from the theatre and on those occasions it’s usually two guests who are working together. Bedrooms aren’t lockable as it’s an ordinary family home, but we never go into rooms where guests are staying. There is full use of kitchen and two living rooms

We are flexible regarding check in, so long as you provide an approximate ETA we can work around guests

We have a friendly Labrador dog and a very old cat

This household follows a strict dietary lifestyle

No particular expectations at all. Guests are free to eat what they please. However, I’m a coeliac and it’s always nice to have fellow gluten free guests

The Host states that their property supports accessibility

Sadly not particularly accessible as bedrooms aren’t lockable on first and second floors. However, we have a downstairs living room and a fairly roomy kitchen. We would do our best to create an easy environment for any special requirements

We bought our own children up in the house, and whilst we don’t have children visit regularly now I’d say it’s still suitable

Impossible to describe in 500 characters just how much I loved staying with Liz and Kim for a couple of weeks. They completely saved me after I escaped the digs from hell, welcomed me into their home and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Wonderful cosy and homely place to stay with everything you might need. Lovely walk along the river into town for easy access to both the Key and New theatres, or a short drive. Major bonus getting to hang out with Fred the dog!
