Two bright double rooms each with own bathroom in leafy Nether Edge. Vegetarian household (Sheffield)

Welcome!

Do please come and stay! I love hosting people and will do my best to make sure you have a comfy and chilled time, and feel as at home as possible.

I have two warm double bedrooms available in an immaculate new build (6 years old) property, in the leafy suburb of Nether Edge. Vegetarian, non smoking household. This is a quiet street, a short stroll to green spaces of Brincliffe Edge woods and Chelsea Park just around the corner. Walking distance from a selection of independent shops and the lovely local Cafe #9.

Easy walk to bus stops for regular public transport to the theatre, or walkable in about 40 mins. There is a mini Sainsburys a 5 minute walk away. There is free on street parking. The house is on quite a steep hill which is a bonus going into town, but you will feel it coming back! This is why there are taxis and ubers!

These bedrooms are on the middle floor of the property. There is a family bathroom with over bath shower as well as a separate shower room also on this level. These two bathrooms are for the exclusive use of whoever is renting the rooms at any time. So if there are two friends you might decide to mix and match the facilities or if you prefer you can opt for either the bathroom or the shower room for exclusive use. Each has a decent mirror & heated towel rail.

The bedrooms each have their own clothes drying rack and laundry basket so it's easy for you to do a load of washing whilst you are here. Both beds are made up with an electric blanket and there are loads of spare blankets and pillows if required.

is at the front of the house and has great morning light though nice thick curtains if you want a lie in. It has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, side unit with beside lamp and digital radio. A desk and arm chair. Kettle in room. There is a mirror, and this room is adjacent to the family bathroom.

Bright double bedroom overlooking the garden - garden room is at the back of the house, overlooking the wildlife garden. It has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, side unit with bedside lamp and radio. Also a full size desk, armchair, book shelves full length mirror. Kettle in room. Black out curtains. This room has a large desktop PC monitor which some guests find handy to link to their devices to. This room is adjacent to the shower room.

There is a single bedroom too, which can be rented out if people are stuck for accomodation. However, this is only used if you were wanting to stay with a friend in the same show and willing to share a bathroom. Ask if you want further details about this.

I will provide bedding and towels if required. Bedding changed weekly or on request.

The house has good insulation and central heating.

You will have access to the kitchen, separate cupboard space to store your things, and your own shelf in the fridge. Please note this is a VEGETARIAN home. This means you must not prepare or eat meat, poultry or fish in the house.

The kitchen is well equipped, but please leave it as you find it, and use the extractor fan if cooking. There is access to a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

I have teabags and instant coffee available, but you'll need to get your own milk.

A few rules - no smoking anywhere. This is a vegetarian household so please no meat or fish. Please take your shoes off in the home.

There is a bookcase on the landing area that you are welcome to browse, and seating in the garden so you can relax outside when weather allows. I love my wildlife garden, though it may look unkempt to the untrained eye. There is a wildlife pond, many bird feeders, and you will need to be comfortable in the presence of an over familiar squirrel. If it's the right time of year, I will try to make you come and admire my tadpoles at least once during your stay. A fox visits nightly and there are badgers about in the area which sometimes can be spotted in the small hours heading up the road.

I love coming to see the productions guests are working on, but equally happy to leave you in peace if that's your preference. Try to get out to the peaks at some point if you can. I'll give you a lift if I'm free and you are without transport.
