Do please come and stay! I love hosting people and will do my best to make sure you have a comfy and chilled time, and feel as at home as possible.
I have two warm double bedrooms available in an immaculate new build (7 years old) property Vegetarian, non smoking household. Both bedrooms have their own private bathroom, there is a garden for you to use and brand new kitchen. Very safe, quiet street, chilled household. Black out curtains, electric blankets newly decorated. I want you you to be comfy. I'm an experienced host so very open to questions if you have any concerns or worries. The house has all mod cons so if you want to do a load of washing or borrow an ironing board no problems.
here is a single bedroom too, which can be rented out if people are stuck for accomodation. However, this is only used if you were wanting to stay with a friend in the same show and willing to share a bathroom. Ask if you want further details.

Guest Parking
Plenty of FREE ON STREET parking in safe suburb of Sheffield. I understand that Sheffield Theatres have an arrangement for subsidised parking near the theatres.
The Area and Transport
This is a quiet street, in Nether Edge which is a leafy suburb of Sheffield a short stroll to green spaces of Brincliffe Edge woods and Chelsea Park. Walking distance from a selection of independent shops including an excellent health food shop and several independent cafes where you can linger and chat including the lovely local Cafe #9. Nether Edge was listed as one of the best places to live in the UK in the 2024 Sunday Times survey. Think swift boxes and vegetarian cafes. There is wildlife including foxes and a badger that does a stroll up the street in the small hours. I will make you look at my wildlife garden.
Easy walk to bus stops for regular public transport to the theatre, or walkable in about 40 mins. There is a mini Sainsburys a 5 minute walk away. There is free on street parking. The house is on quite a steep hill which is a bonus going into town, but you will feel it coming back! This is why there are taxis and uber

Shared and Excluded Facilities
This space is shared with 1 Host and 2 other paying Guests.
There are two dedicated guest rooms, one has a shower for its exclusive use, the other a family bathroom. There is also a smaller single room, which doubles as my study. If you would like to have a known friend to stay and use that smaller room, this can be arranged, as long as are happy to share your bathroom with them. It could also work if there are say three of you working the same show happy to share the two bathrooms between you. Get in touch if you want to discuss this.
Kitchen, garden, downstairs loo are all shared spaces. The kitchen diner area is a nice communal area that opens out into the wildlife garden in summer
You will have dedicated cupboard and fridge space.
Excluded Facilities
I live on the top floor of the property which is not for guest access.
There is a living room which I tend to keep for my personal use. However, if you are an extended stay guest and wanted to watch something on the big TV say, that's fine. It is not however a general communal space.

It's a vegetarian household, so please don't bring meat or fish into the house, this means takeaways as well
Please no shoes inside the house - bring slippers
Please use the extractor fan when cooking and leave the kitchen as you find it. There is a dishwasher, feel free to use it! It's an amazing magic box, stuff goes in dirty then 'ta da!' comes out clean. Works every time. Just common courtesy really, don't hoard dirty plates in your room or it will make me sad. Do your washing up, throw away food that is past its sell by date, and don't leave things in the sink. I want you to feel at home, but draw the line at picking up after you.
I will try to make you look at the tadpoles in my garden pond if it's the right time of year. Try to feign interest at least. Honestly though, they are great.
Be prepared to feed the squirrels, they are STARVING!

This is the third time I've stayed with Lucy. She is a lovely and very accommodating host, who makes her place feel like your home. The room is cosy and spacious, and the bathroom has everything you need.
The location is about a 45min walk from the Crucible, or 25min by bus. The area has a lot of shops and cafes too, so I really enjoyed it.
I will stay here again when returning to Sheffield!

This is my second time staying with Lucy over panto season and it is always an absolute pleasure!! Me and my cat, Ludo, have always enjoyed our stay with Lucy and her friendly welcoming presence and accommodation!

After a rocky start in Rotherham, Lucy so kindly took me any my cat in and honestly, being my first experience on theatre digs, i’ve had the best stay! Lucy is so warm and inviting for both me and Ludo. She even let me know all of the best spots for everything and took me to see the peak district all while being a good buddy for Ludo to play and spend time with during my long panto days. Will defo stay again if i’m back in sheffield and Ludo will miss her a lot

Lucy is a warm and welcoming host. Her house is beautiful and immaculate. Everything one could possibly need in the bedroom and bathroom. Such a comfy bed, quiet area. Surrounded by the wonderful Peak District. I drove to the theatre as there is a parking deal at Q Park. It’s 10 minutes. Lucy also makes a mean banana bread!!

Delightful digs- great room and bathroom. Very friendly host and pleasant area in Nether Edge. Short cab ride/ bus to theatres.

Lucy is an amazing host with a wonderful house. I felt really at home during my stay, and Lucy kindly invited me for a trip to the beautiful Peak District. It’s a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and several buses go straight to the Lyceum and Crucible theatres. I would give 6 stars if I could.

5 star accommodation to stay in. Lucy is great and she’s super approachable. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I would highly recommend staying here during your time in Sheffield. It’s also a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and one straight bus to the Lyceum and Crucible theatre.

Lucy was an absolute star. She has a beautiful tidy house not far from the city centre with cute cafes walking distance. She made us feel at home, I 100% recommend staying here while in sheffield!

The best place I’ve ever stayed in theatre digs booker. Lucy is an INCREDIBLE host with a fanatic home and room. The garden is incredible and she can’t do enough for you. I’d 100000% recommend

Lucy is a lovely host, very organised, friendly and extremely welcoming. The rooms are both quite spacious and comfortable, with a bathroom each. Ample free street parking and a relatively easy journey into theatres. Would recommend!

Lucy was a great host. Enthusiastic, welcoming and attentive. The house is beautiful, lovely bright rooms with your own bathroom. House is a short walk to bus stop with a 14 min bus right to the Cruicible & Lyceum. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic host and accommodation! I was made very welcome and really enjoyed my stay. Comfortable, spacious room, private bathroom (with a great shower), and a large, well equipped kitchen. Be sure to see some of the wildlife that visit the garden!
