Living with Host

What does this mean?

The semi-detached house is in a quiet street just behind the Cathedral and the King's School. It's a pleasant 7 minutes' walk (0.3 miles) to the Marlowe Theatre through the historic city centre.
The downstairs bathroom has a huge bath with a shower attachment (but is not a shower) but guests can use the hosts' en suite shower (by arrangement). The kitchen may be used to meal prep (with fridge and/or cupboard space available too).
We have a 2 medium-sized short-haired Spanish rescue dogs 🐕. No other pets.

* Bookings are charged on exactly that. Guests who chose to leave a day early, or to arrive a day late or stay the night with a friend mid-week are very welcome to do so but the booking remains the same.
* Unfortunately we can only offer the free Off Street parking space for the Large double room due to the high demand for city centre parking.

Guest Parking

We have one parking space (available with the large double). An additional parking space may be available, but not free (as it is not our space).

The Area and Transport

We are located in the city centre, about 10 minutes walk from either Canterbury West or East train station and same to the bus and coach station. The theatre is 7 minutes’ walk.
There is a large Sainsbury’s supermarket less than 5 minutes away. Cathedral also about 7 minutes walk.

Staying with Ema & Mick made for an amazing week! They’re such kind and welcoming people (as are their two dogs Piper and Echo who I miss already!) and the room was lovely and cosy. Always up for a tea and a chat which really made it feel like home! Thanks for such a great week in Canterbury :)
