A lovely room with ensuite, and everything else in the house that you might need. Jeanne is very friendly, but not obtrusive. It's a bit of a walk into town (which really suited me) or I believe you can catch a bus if need be.

Jeanne is delighful and the room and en suite excellent value. The walk to the theatre is around 30 minutes, but there are buses if you dont fancy it. I would stay there again, no problem.

Had such a lovely stay at Jeanne's. Her home is beautiful and the room was very comfy- amazing to have an en-suite with a lovely shower, too. She has a gorgeous garden that was so nice to sit in for breakfast and in the evening. Jeanne has parking and her house is only a 5/10 minute drive to the Mercury Theatre. My partner was able to stay and was also made to feel very welcome. Jeanne is passionate about supporting culture in Colchester and that comes across in the way she opens her home.

Absolutely lovely room, Jeanne was so welcoming and friendly. Short commute by car to both the Mercury and Headgate.
