Top floor of house. Large room with kingsize bed, Loaf mattress and goose down topper - super comfy! Ensuite bathroom.
Built from Bath stone in 1894, the house benefits from generous proportions, big windows and lots of light. It is south facing at the front with views over allotments beyond and very peaceful. If you enjoy tennis, there are grass courts to play on!

The front driveway is available to book for parking at a discounted rate.
The Area and Transport
Bloomfield Avenue is a wonderful place to be based in Bath because, unlike the centre, it isn't overrun with tourists and yet is so close on foot to the city.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!. Jo’s house is exquisite. Very safe residential area. She has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay as private and comfortable for you as possible. The bed is super comfy. Bathroom is immaculate with lovely hand soap,shower gel, shampoo and and conditioner. Personal micro wave and fridge a real bonus. I would 100 choose to stay again. Best digs of a year long tour.

Jo was a wonderful host! The house is beautiful and the room was amazing. It was nice to have the privacy of the top floor to myself.
Though you cannot use the kitchen; cutlery, plates, a fridge and microwave are provided.
If you aren’t good with walking up steep hills, I’d suggest taking an uber but wasn’t bad by the end of the week - great cardio.
I would definitely stay again, thanks Jo!

I had a great stay with Jo. The house is immaculate. The standard you should expect from a theatre digs. A long walk to the theatre with a steep incline on the way home… the route google maps gave me was through an underpass. Jo was very informative and a welcoming host. Would definitely recommend. There’s a co-op, pub and fish & chip shop within very close proximity of the digs.

I stayed with Jo and family for five weeks and cannot recommend these digs highly enough. A beautiful, clean and spacious home in a lovely area. Jo is a kind, thoughtful and very respectful host who went out of her way to make me comfortable during my stay. Having ensuite bathroom and fridge and microwave to myself was much appreciated. If I ever have the opportunity to work in Bath again, Jo will be my first port of call!

Alice was a delight from start to finish. Such an easy person to have around. We would be delighted to welcome her back any time.
Lovely place to stay , peaceful ensuite room at the top of the spacious house, light and airy. Jo super kind , welcoming and helpful , providing hangers, a small fridge , microwave and little table, all very useful for a home from home. The walk I found tho is more like 25 mins , however I ran down to the theatre which got me there in 15 mins . Wonderful steep hill near amazing views and brilliant independent local Good Bear Cafe all in all highly recommended !

I had the loveliest stay at Jo’s beautiful home. The house is gorgeous and the room is perfect. It’s peaceful, cosy and had everything you needed. Jo was so lovely and welcoming and made sure you had everything on arrival and was so helpful. It’s in a beautiful area and was a gorgeous walk into the town of Bath. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m there. Thankyou Jo for making my stay so wonderful.

10/10 stay in Jo’s loft en suite! She was so welcoming and accommodating with some extra touches in the room, like tea, coffee, milk and a microwave for a post show hot snack! Her house is beautiful, very peaceful and a pleasant short walk to the theatre. I hope to be back in the near future!

This was a perfect stay in Bath! The room was better than I could have hoped, very private, a comfortable bed, beautiful newly done en-suite, tea and coffee set up with a kettle and a microwave for my use. Gorgeous area with lovely cafes and shops, away from the bustle of the city but a short walk to the theatre royal. Jo and her family were so welcoming and friendly! As a woman travelling alone, I felt extremely safe in their company and in their home. I would recommend to anyone. I’ll be back!

We loved having Emma here (and seeing her steal the show in the very funny Pride & Prejudice). She was quiet and considerate coming in at night and super easy to have around. Welcome back any time.
Jo and her family were wonderful hosts - the house is beautifully renovated and sits in a quiet area around 15/20 mins walk to the theatre. The room was immaculate, warm and spacious. Absolutely perfect for a short stay - I'm looking forward to coming back in the future!
