Living with Host
We live close to the historic World Heritage Site-Saltaire Village in an old mid terrace house. These digs are suitable for short term and longer term stays.
Your room is a private spacious contemporary attic area (with en suite) which contains a double bed with additional scatter cushions and throws if required. The room also contains a modern chic sofa. There is a clothing rail with storage boxes, desk as well as a smart TV, DVD player, CD player and vinyl player.
The room has recently been renovated with vibrant colours to give a warm vibe. There is also candles, incense and wax melts free for you to use.
The room contains 2 velux windows with black out blinds, access to a home mini gym and a drinks station with coffee machine, teas etc. For each day you stay a continental breakfast will be provided

Guest Parking
Parking is on street and the neighbourhood is very friendly. I can also recommend parking options based on the venue you will be based for your work too.
The Area and Transport
We are 12 minutes from Shipley Station and 20 minutes from Saltaire Station that has regular trains to both Bradford and Leeds and regular connectios to Manchester. There is also a bus stop 1 minute walk from the house with regular routes into Bradford City Centre (Alhambra, St Georges Hall, The Studio, Bradford Arts Centre can be reached in ten minutes) Saltaire, Shipley town and connections to Leeds, Halifax and Huddersfield.
You are close to a wide range of attractions including Salts Mill, Cartwright Hall, Roberts Park, bars, eateries and quirky independent shops. We live over the road from the beautiful Northcliffe Park.
Your right to privacy will be respected for the time you stay with us but you will be welcome to have access to all other areas of the house including main bathroom, living room, kitchen, private garden as well as the wsher and dryer on the basement floor.

This space is not shared with anyone else.
The room you will stay in for the duration of your stay will be exclusivly for your use and access and as the host I will not enter the space unless for some reason you instruct me to do so.
Excluded Facilities
The only out of bounds spaces in the property are the two bedrooms on the first floor.

Please can I ask that shoes are taken off when you enter the property and put on the shoe rack at the bottom of the stairs or kept in your room.
If you smoke or vape please can you ensure that this is done outdoors only please.
There is a recycle bin in the main kitchen with a green lid which you are free to use for any recycable waste and general wast in the bin next to it. There is a rubbish bin in your room too.

The frontage of the property has supportive hand rails leading up the steps to the front door. There is a back entrance to the property too which might be more prefrable if anyone may struggle mounting the three steps at the front of the property. If you have other access needs you would like to discuss please do let me know and I would be more than happy to discuss.

Great stay, lovely room with bathroom, sofa & TV. Located in a safer area of Bradford with easy shuttle to theatre (20 min ride) j bus stop is 2 mins from house. Full use of kitchen & host is delightful. Highly recommended

Lovely room with great facilities, really comfy bed. Tricky to navigate the bathroom as I'm 6'6", and frequently hit my head, but that can't be helped! I personally didn't enjoy Bradford as a place, and these digs were a little bit out in the sticks (as mentioned it's on the edge of Saltaire rather than being Bradford proper) but all in all a lovely room to stay in if it weren't in Bradford!

Lovely stay, decent bus link, big Asda nearby. Host was always friendly, helpful and generous. Important to note that the room doesn't have seating apart from the bed itself, and most of the storage places already have belongings in/on, so I think it's more suited to a short stay (I stayed for 6 weeks). The host has a young daughter so there is sometimes noise early in the morning and often clutter in the kitchen. But overall I felt welcome and comfortable

Hi Stefy thanks for your review and feedback. Great point about seating which I will look to address for future. In terms of storage there is a clothing rail and storage cubes and did mention you were able to use the space as your own and move things as you saw fit but again feedback welcomed and will look at getting additional storage. Richard was an amazing host, he was very welcoming and lovely to get to know. The room was very large and lovely and cosy, very close to shops and very connected with buses into town. I would highly recommend this theatre digs!

Richard is very warm, welcoming and attentive host who is very respectful of one’s privacy but willing to be a hands on host at the drop of a hat. The room is as advertised and looks just as good in person, and the fairy lights are a nice touch! Location is great as it’s less than 20 mins from city centre by bus, and if travelling very late at night Ubers are readily available and reasonable. Would definitely recommend staying here!
