About these Digs
Living with Host
A large beautifully light and quiet room with it's own en-suite bathroom.
The room is on the third floor of our historic Georgian Town house. You will need to climb 3 flights of stairs to reach your room.
The final flight of stairs are a little narrower, however, the reward it that it takes you to your own private floor.
Both bedroom and bathroom are tastefully decorated and hung with original artwork.
The bedroom has a comfortable standard double bed.
The space has been thoughtfully put together to enable guests to both relax and work.
The en-suite bathroom has an original, restored, roll top bath. You can lie and bathe and look up at the night sky through the roof window. (Water pressure is a little low so we have left you a jug to wash your hair if necessary).
Hot water is available between 8am - 10am in the morning and between 9.30pm and 11.30pm. If you would would like it at a different time, please let me know and I will re-programme to suit.
Guest Parking
We are allocated a limited number of City Centre on-street permits by Norwich Council. If this is important to you please check with me first that I have enough for the duration of your stay.
The Area and Transport
An opportunity to stay in a beautiful house 5 minutes walk to Norwich's traditional market and where you will only be at most 10 minutes from 2 Theatres, an Art Cinema, the Cathedral, numerous independent shops, cafes and restaurants, all on your doorstep.
A favourite place to meet in the daytime for a coffee is Upper St. Giles Street, a few hundred yards from the house which has several coffee shops.
The Train station is a 20 minute walk from the house and the main bus station, 15 minutes.
Beryl bikes and scooters are throughout Norwich, with a docking station 100 yards from the house.

Our Guests have their own private bedroom and en-suite bathroom on the top floor of the house for their exclusive use.
There are no locks on any rooms in the house.
Guests are welcome to use the laundry to wash and dry their clothes.
A microwave to heat food to eat in the kitchen is available.
The garden can also be used by our guests.
Excluded Facilities
Rooms not available for use by guests include The sitting room on the 1st floor, bedrooms and main bathroom on 2nd floor.
Use of the kitchen by arrangement.

Belynda’s room is beautiful and comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you’re working at the Theatre Royal which is five minutes walk away.
The only slight drawback is the lack of a shower in the lovely bathroom. There is a bath, but being on the chunky side, I didn’t really fit into it.

Thank you for the lovely review, I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the bath, it was the only size Victorian roll top bath that could be manoeuvred up the four flights of stairs!
Despite this I hope we might welcome you back next time you are playing in Norwich.
A wonderful room- very cosy and characterful! Belynda was a very friendly host and provided everything I needed during my stay. Would happily recommend the room to anyone looking- close to the theatre, lots of food/drink & shopping options nearby and a clean, quiet, restful stay.

Beautiful ensuite room with fantastic artwork and really thoughtful extras, (eg yoga mat). Spacious, quiet, and in an ideal location. Belynda was also very kind and helpful to me when I was ill. Highly recommend.

Stunning attic room - the comfiest bed I've slept on in ages! Hotel quality linens, and fluffiest towels of my life! Literally 2 mins from the theatre (once I worked out theres a cut through). House is beautifully decorated with Belyndas art - (including the sink back splash tiles I think?! What talent!). Room did get a little chilly, but nothing the thoughtfully provided hot water bottle didnt fix. Parking is a nightmare - despite very clear instructions provided. Try the multistory if stuck.

Yes, parking can be tricky but once a space is found the car can be left there all week.

I had a lovely stay with belynda. The room was as pictured and as described. Felt like my own little apartment. Fridge in the room which was very handy for being on tour. Also great location, in the city centre. Would book again!

Had the most wonderful stay in this glorious house in the centre of Norwich. A beautiful bedroom and en-suite . Feels like one’s own flat.
A short walk to the playhouse . Perfect for all the theatres. Stylish, unique and welcoming. Surrounded by Belynda’s art works and stylish decor.
Everything your eye lands on is pleasing.

Belynda and Robert provided an excellent stay for my week's work in Norwich. The accommodation on the top floor was exactly as described. Very peaceful, spacious and private a 5 minute walk to theatre royal via William Kemp pass. Tastefully decorated and would definitely want to stay with them again when next in Norwich

The room in Belynda’s house was wonderful! Comfy bed, lovely bathroom. The location is convenient for the theatre and Norwich City Centre. Belynda was very communicative, and helpful in terms of parking and accommodating arrival times! Would highly recommend, and will book again if I’m ever in Norwich! Thank you!

The room was really comfy and Belynda and Rob were so welcoming. Their house is located right in the centre of Norwich and the room itself was so spacious which and had its own on suite bathroom. Belynda went out of her way to restock the small mini fridge in the room and made my whole stay a breeze. I would 100% recommend to any actors looking for a comfortable, conveniently placed room to stay with this wonderful couple!
