Living with Host

What does this mean?

We are a friendly and approachable couple who enjoy giving advice etc when asked. We live in a Victorian house that has 3 floors. There are 2 rooms on the top floor with a shower room for guest use only. Each room has a table/desk and chair, an armchair and drawer space for those who prefer to unpack! There is a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle on the landing. The attic space is quite self contained even though you are using our front door. 11am checkout at the latest please and preferably checking in after 3pm; I need time to get the room ready and clean the bathroom etc! If you are arriving at the weekend a check in time after 6pm would be appreciated so that I can go out for the day if I want to! Please make sure that you book for the correct days you want to stay because I will no longer be giving refunds if you leave earlier than expected or arrive later. Thanks.

Guest Parking

I need to buy 'scratch' parking permits in order for you to park on the road outside the house; this is because we are close to the city centre. These are currently £1 a day. Please let me know if you will need them as I have to order them. Alternatively, you can park a few streets away on a road that doesn't have permit parking.

The Area and Transport

The house is about a 10-15 minute walk to the theatre and city.(Ask me for the shortcut!) We are round the corner from a Tesco metro, cafes, restaurant and pubs that serve food.

Shared and Excluded Facilities

This space is shared with 2 Hosts and 1 other paying Guest.

All bedrooms can be locked from the inside.
The shower bathroom is only used by theatre guests, a maximum of 2 people, but usually only 1.
Fridge, microwave, toaster on the attic landing for guest use only.
Guests free to use our kitchen and garden.
Enter through our front door into a hall, not through an occupied space!

Excluded Facilities

Our living rooms and our bathroom are not shared with our guests. Guests are quite self contained in the attic space. Though quests are always welcome to come and chat if they like to.

Other rules

I have noted check in and check out times as requested by the site, but I am flexible. More so with checking in. I do prefer checking in in the afternoon, rather than after the performance, if possible. I really appreciate communication on check in times so that I can get on with my day and don't have to wait in.
I do allow smoking in the garden.

Lovely clean room in a very convenient location to the theatre. Monica was very friendly and welcoming. It was great to have the use of fridge, microwave, kettle etc, and everything was well thought out and provided. I would definitely come back!
