Living with Host

What does this mean?

A comfortable room on the 2nd floor of a town house, adjacent to the bathroom. I provide clean towels and change bedding once a week.
I've tried to create a restful environment in which guests can relax after a hard day's work.

Guest Parking

Should off-road parking be required, this is not generally an issue, but my drive is listed on a bookable parking website, but as long as it’s not booked, guests are welcome to use it. Parking in St. Michael’s Terrace is not generally a problem.

The Area and Transport

Devonport Park is just across the road with views of the Tamar and dockyard and guests also have access to the terrace private garden.

In the past a guest brought his own bicycle from London which meant he could be at the Theatre Royal within 15 minutes. By foot it's about [REMOVED] minutes (Google tells me it's 1.6 miles away.
Royal Parade (where the Theatre Royal is situated) is also accessible via bus (Plymouth City Bus) number 14 from the City College stop, or the number 21 from the Granby stop, or from the Stoke Indian Inn stop via the number 34/34A.

This space is not shared with anyone else.

The guest room is private and guests are always consulted as to when is convenient for me to change bedding (which I do once a week). The bathroom adjacent to the guest room is primarily for guests, although it is the only place to shower, but guests have priority in use of this bathroom. The kettle and microwave in the kitchen are available for guests to use as is tea/coffee - I am vegan, so only buy oat milk. Space for storage in the kitchen/fridge are available to guests. Guests have priority use of the dining table as I ask guests not to take meals in the guest room.

Excluded Facilities

Cooking facilities (apart from the microwave) are not available to guests.

Other rules

I ask guests not to wear shoes except in the downstairs hallway.
Recyclable materials can be left downstairs by the garage door.
I ask guests to take meals/food at the dining table - plates and cutlery are available on request; I have a dishwasher, so guests need only leave used plates, cups, etc. by the kitchen sink.
Should guests smoke, there is a shared garden with benches which they are welcome to use.

Lovely place to stay, only a short distance by bus to the Theatre Royal. Chris is endlessly helpful & friendly & his dog, while a little bit noisy is very friendly & loves a good scratch.
Would absolutely stay again.
