About these Digs
Living with Host
This accommodation is on the upper floor of my 2 storey family house which I am offering to guests.
There are two rooms available to be booked separately, however, the added benefit of these digs are that these two rooms have their own well equipped kitchen/living room and shower room which are shared between the guests.
The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, a microwave, sandwich toaster, a toaster and kettle - no open hob.
Eight minutes walk from His Majesty's Theatre. Central location. Lovely secluded garden.
This is a non smoking house, but there is a garden to smoke in.
Some parking might be arranged.
Theatre guests have been happy here for over 25 years, due to it's proximity to the theatre. I am, however new to being an online theatre landlady!

Elaine is the perfect host and I’m already looking forward to going back to Aberdeen. Great stay, and even the walk up hill was only 20 mins from the station/Tivoli Theatre.

I had a lovely week with Elaine and enjoyed having the whole flat to myself. It’s quiet, comfortable and homely. Elaine has lots of info on local places to visit and things to do in Aberdeen, spotting the dolphins in the bay was a highlight!

Elaine continues to live up to her reputation, as the perfect digs host! 10 minute leisurely walk to the stage door of His Majesty’s. Even less if you are younger and quicker than I am. Which is most people!!

A wonderful stay with Elaine. Elaine was so accommodating and friendly, I really felt welcomed into her home. It’s a great set up with a mini kitchen/living area, which I ended up with completely to myself! Location is close to His Majesty’s and not far from the centre. Overall a lovely stay!

Second time I've stayed at Elaine's digs - they are perfect. The location is ideal for HMT, it was clean, comfortable and had everything needed. A wonderful stay in Aberdeen and Elaine was very accommodating and friendly as always. The best digs in town and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Elaine was such a wonderful host. Her home is comfortable, cosy and quiet. Having our own mini kitchen was wonderful. Elaine also lent me a coat because I left mine behind at a previous place (very silly thing to do when coming to Aberdeen). Loved staying with Elaine and hope to do so again!

Elaine was a lovely host. I had the whole upstairs with kitchen/living room and bathroom to myself. Great location. Elaine took me on a mini tour of Aberdeen, I was so grateful to be shown some incredible spots that I never would have seen otherwise. So helpful and friendly. I had a great week. I had a great time staying at Elaine's. Very close to the theatre. The extra space in the sitting room was great, I was able to cook with the airfryer and microwave. Elaine was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Elaine was a lovely host and went out of her way to check in with me and assure I was comfortable. It’s a lovely room with tidy living and bathroom. It’s a short, safe walk from the theatre. I would stay again without a doubt!

Elaine is such a wonderful host! These are some of the best digs in Aberdeen, I’ve no doubt. Less than 10mins walk to the theatre, wonderfully comfy and you have the whole top level just for yourself and the other guest (so I recommend booking with a colleague!) and it’s very comfy and like a home from home! Highly recommend :)

Elaine's place is a great stay. A short 10 minutes walk to the theatre so I was able to nip back and have my break inbeteen matinees. The kitchen is ample, although there's no hobs or oven, there's a everything else including an air fryer. The upstairs is more or less self-contained, very quiet and exceptionally comfortable. 100% recommend

Wonderful digs. Elaine home has been digs for theatre people for years and is perfect. You get the whole upper floor to yourself (and whoever is in the other digs room) including a kitchenette and the show is fab! Also parking can be arranged round the back of house. Would defo stay again.

Absolutely perfect stay with Elaine - such a welcoming host. The rooms are like their own little flat on the top floor so lots of privacy and she was kind enough to let me check in at 8am off the sleeper train and lend me a jug of milk for the week too. Such a thoughtful lady and amazing value for being less than 10 minute walk to the theatre - I made it in almost 5 when running late! Thank you Elaine!!

The perfect theatre digs for Aberdeen - thank you so much Elaine. It was clean, so spacious- two big double bedrooms, a sitting room with kitchenette and bathroom, perfect for two in a company sharing together. Elaine was so lovely and welcoming. These are fantastic digs for anyone working in Aberdeen. The self-contained kitchen/lounge and bathroom are just what is needed and Elaine is a wonderful host. Helpful and informative. I had a lovely week.

Elaine is a really kind helpful host. Leaves you to yourself but helps when needed. Nice bedroom and kitchen/living room and shower room shared with other guests. I had it all to myself. 18 minute walk to Lemon Tree about 10 minutes to HM Theatre. Local shops including bars, cafes, Sainsbury. Third time I've stayed here and will again.

A lovely little upstairs area in a cosy house shared with one other guest, clean and well equipped with everything you need for a weeks stay, and really easy 5 minute walk to the theatre, would stay here again

Had a great stay with Elaine, she is absolutely lovely. She was so welcoming and gave me some nice local tips about things to see and do. The room was comfortable and benefits from a seperate kitchen/diner. It's also pretty close to the theatre (less than 10min walk)

Elaine has a warm and welcoming place. She is very accommodating and communicative. The location is perfect for HMT, about an 8 min walk away. Fabulous place to stay, comfy room. Easy to recommend.

This is a great theatre digs. So close the the theatre. Elaine is friendly and has been doing theatre digs for many years. You have your own living room kitchen and the whole top floor. Would recommend and I will return. Thank you x

Elaine was a lovely host and I had a lovely stay, the location to the theatre was excellent- an easy 8 minute walk.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great.
I would highly recommend staying here

Loved my stay in these digs! The room is very comfortable (super comfy bed) and lots of storage, plus a good shower in the bathroom. It was great to have the bathroom and kitchen available for just the two TDB rooms - and the kitchen was well equipped with a small oven, microwave and even an air fryer! A really easy 8 minute walk to stage door, and it felt fine to walk back to at night. Thankyou for such a wonderful week!

Absolute perfection. I could not have asked for a more delightful and comfortable stay in Aberdeen. And if I ever get to return, I would 10% stay here. The room and house was comfortable, and had all the facilities I needed. The shower was brilliant. Elaine was a gorgeous host who left me to my devices when I needed, but was a welcoming gem. I wish I had had more time to spend with her. Great to have access to a separate living room and kitchen so I never worried about bothering her. Perfect.

What can one say about the perfect digs and the perfect host. Elaine has even been written up in the local theatre magazine for being the definitive landlady - except I mustn’t say that, because the article is headlined “Don’t call me landlady!” 😂 anyway, she’s been doing it for over 40 years so she’s pretty good at it. The guestrooms share their own kitchen, sitting room, and bathroom on the first floor and it’s all lovely. Thank you, Elaine, it was a delight

I cannot recommend these digs enough. Comfortable, private, warm, so close to the theatre, and to some wonderful cafes and restaurants. Elaine was a fabulous host. I had everything I needed and more, and really felt at home in Aberdeen. I will definitely be back - Thank you x

Wonderful digs a short convenient walk from the theatre. Comfy bed, plenty of space. The kitchen, although limited to a small oven and no hob, is entirely adequate for a short stay - would definitely return!

Elaine is so lovely and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble for her during my stay. Very cosy and well equipped digs, and such a short walk to the theatre - highly recommend!

Elaine was a lovely host. The room was very comfortable, and there is a shared communal area with sofa, TV and basic food prep facilities. It’s a short walk to the theatre. Great theatre digs, I would definitely recommend.

Elaine is 1 in a million,turned up the night the theatres closed. It's place is homely and welcoming Eliane supplied bread, milk, cheese etc She was so grt when I had to rtn to home nxt day. Thank you

Elaine's house is perfect completely self contained space with all amenities and herself is a lovely warm person that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Definitely will be back.

This is a really cosy first floor of a very welcoming home owned by a warm and proud Aberdonian. Highly experienced and very friendly, Elaine is on hand if needed but gives you plenty of space. The beds are comfy and and the shower is great.

Very comfortable double room, living room with microwave,kettle, toaster, and bathroom both shared with only one other room on separate guest floor. Elaine delightful. Central location, short walk to theatre and Union St.

What an incredibly lovely woman Elaine is! Very cosy house, room/bed v comfy. You have top level so feels like you are self contained. 5 minutes walk down the hill into town & the theatre. Elaine was simply the best hostess! Would 1000% stay again x

Elaine is the most amazing host! The room is lovely and cosy, and you get your own kitchen and bathroom which you share with the one other guest. She was so welcoming and helpful with things to do in the area. Would love to stay again.

Elaine is a very welcoming host, her house is very comfortable with the more private living space upstairs making it even more so. My bed was extremely comfortable and the room quiet. At 10 mins walk from His Majesties. Highly recommend!

These digs are perfect for His Majesty’s theatre. Elaine was a wonderful host and the space was great. Always nice to have your own little kitchenette area & lounge to relax in and an easy 5 minute walk to the theatre. I would definitely stay again.

Elaine’s digs are the nicest in Aberdeen. A lovely comfy room with a lounge/kitchen next door and a ten minute walk to the theatre. Elaine is a perfect host and I can’t wait to stay again 😊

Elaine is a gem of a host. The room was comfortable, overlooking her beautiful garden and thus very quiet. The lounge is cosy and practical. Within walking distance from His Majesty‘s and local shops. Definitely would stay again.

Elaine is a wonderful host and the room is lovely, with a nice shower room and small kitchen in a separate sitting room. Easy walk down to the theatre. Would 100% stay here again!

Unfortunately I didn’t meet Elaine as our timetables didn’t line up, but I had everything I needed and she made sure she kept in touch. The facilities were great; it was perfect to come back to after work. Would love to stay again in the future!

Elaine was a perfect host, she was very respectful of privacy and created digs that was a home from home. The house is a very easy walk from HMT theatre and close to amenities, supermarkets etc. Great location, great host! Can’t thank you enough!

The room is small and cosy; the bed is very comfortable; the WiFi is excellent; the house is an easy 6 minute walk to the theatre. Elaine is a lovely – a truly gracious host that made my stay feel as though I was visiting with family. X

Powerful shower. Really comfy bed. Cute little private kitchenette for the rooms upstairs. Saw Elaine only twice but she made me feel extremely welcome. Definitely would stay here again. Very close to the theatre and great value for Aberdeen :)

Digs like this are a rare find these days! Absolutely fantastic. Elaine is the kindest, most helpful landlady. Everything you need is there and it is a very straightforward walk to the theatre, less than a ten minute walk. Thank you!

I stayed at Elaines in the Spring for 4 nights whilst in town with Scottish Opera...it was almost like having your own flat with a really useful living room/kitchenette for diggers own use. Less than 10 mins walk to the Theatre. Highly recommended.

Elaine was such a lovely host, the room was lovely and it was great having our own living room and kitchen. The bed was comfy apart from the pillows being very soft. I would recommend anyone to stay there though as Elaine is so caring and amazing

Perfect location. Very friendly landlady and total privacy.
My advise would be to request the back bedroom overlooking the beautiful garden. The front bedroom is smaller and overlooks a busy road.
I would defiantly stay again.
