Two Double Rooms In Heart Of West End (Glasgow)

Our large elegant duplex apartment has two double rooms on their own level with its own hallway and shower room. Our home is a traditional red sandstone tenement in the quiet, friendly area of Hillhead, G12, the true heart of the West End, minutes from the University, the Oran Mor, Ashton Lane, Byres Road, Hillhead Subway and the Botanic Gardens. Good bus links into the City Centre to theatres or out to the Highlands. Very accessible for wherever you may want to go - theatres, music venues, city centre and whatever you wish to do. Lots of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops are on the doorstep.The two bedrooms plus shower room are downstairs on the garden level, so you are quite self contained. We live upstairs which is actually the ground floor. So we share the same front door and you take internal stairs down to your rooms and shower.
The space is perfect for two friends/colleagues staying for a week or two. Both are double rooms. Bedroom Two is cosier and smaller, and you can use the tables and chairs in the outside hallway for working and eating. Bedroom One is more spacious with a table and chairs, a TV with wifi minibox, most channels plus Sky. It has a wonderful Japanese bed with tatami mat base, a futon and topper. Both rooms have chests of drawers, hanging space, clean towels, original fireplaces.
It has very easy access straight from the street level, so there are no external stairs to climb with heavy bags! Just your stairs to the garden level and your rooms.
Please note that there is paid parking on meters but free after 5.30pm and at weekends.
It is a home where we live and welcome you warmly into it! It is an attractive mix of traditional, modern, elegant, rustic. Tea and coffee is provided for you in the hallway outside your rooms, where there is also a kettle, small fridge, toaster, microwave, crockery and cutlery. All dishes and cutlery you use will be put in the dishawsher daily. But please note there are no cooking facilties so we feel two weeks is probably the maximum length for a stay.
We are retired TV Producers and live on the ground floor level.

Due to Covid Precautions, we provide large black bin bags and ask guests to empty their own smaller waste bins from bedrooms, hallway and bathroom into the larger ones, tie up securely and bring to the front door, for us to take to the outdoor bins. Also that all food waste is tied up and removed regularly.
