Stylish New Studio Flat in Liverpool L1 (Liverpool)

Cosy, self-contained studio flat in a new secure development in L1, in the heart of Liverpool city centre, this apartment is your stylish home from home on the road!

The apartment is on the 4th floor of a new secure block. There are multiple elevators inside the building so no need to lug heavy suitcases up the stairs!

The apartment faces the rear of the block so you're living in the city centre but facing away from the hustle and bustle and the square is quiet anyway, making it much more likely you'll have a great night's sleep.

Not to be all “Selling Sunset”, but unlike many studio flats which are rectangular, this unit is cleverly designed so it feels more like a one-bedroom flat than a studio.

The apartment works like this:

The sleeping area is to your right as you walk in, and the bed can be accessed from both sides. A small interior wall at the end of the bed, painted purple, creates a cosy pod vibe, but the room is connected tp the main space so you still get natural light in the morning from the living room window, if you want it (see pictures).

Past the bedroom area on the right is a built in wardrobe with plenty of storage and hangers so you can properly unpack. There’s a chest of drawers in the hallway for you to use.

Then, on your right, slide the pocket door to reveal the bathroom which has a powerful shower (with 24 hour hot water, no need to flip any switches), a sink, toilet and heated towel rail. Plenty of towels provided.

Keep going past the bathroom and you have a small but perfectly formed integrated kitchen and living-room.

The apartment is fully furnished with IKEA furniture and kitchen and living equipment from Dunelm and has some lovely features including:

*Double bed with "Dream Catcher” mattress, which honestly feels like sleeping on a bed of clouds :) It’s not super firm but it’s not super soft either - for most people it’s just right.

*10.5 Tog duvet with 2 x anti-allergy Fogarty pillows from Dunelm, plus 2 x Dorma Full Forever Firm pillows and a cute lilac throw cushion for extra comfort.

*Comfy cushions on the sofa with pops of pink throughout the flat - such as in the lampshades - to pep up your spirits.

*Salter grey and rose gold Kettle and Toaster set, which work like a dream and look lovely too. Three-cup cafetière in chic orange for brewing fresh coffee every morning.

*Russell Hobbs Microwave in retro green, which is super easy to use.

*A well stocked condiments cupboard containing vegetable oil, olive oil, Himalayan salt, black pepper, English breakfast tea, coffee and green tea (or equivalent).

*Pink blush ceramic plates, cups, plus wine glasses, tumblers and cooking utensils, plus eco-friendly reusable straws in the kitchen drawer.

*Private WIFI network. Please note I don’t have a TV but I do have a TV license, so feel free to watch iPlayer/Youtube or anything else on your laptop/iPad.

*Blackout blinds in the living room which can be left half-way or all the way down depending on how much sleep you want!

*Oil-filled radiator as well as a wall radiator for extra heat in the winter.

*Two fans: One 16” stand-up and one small Blaupunkt desk fan for keeping cool in the summer.

*Working desk next to the bed with plenty of plug points for charging devices.

*Bedside lamp and a cool movie-set style stand up lamp in the living room, plus blanket on the sofa.

*The view from the living room window is of the legendary CREAM nightclub, which was a world-famous dance club in the 1990s (Google it!). From the window you can see the original CREAM logo on the wall and twinkling fairy lights from a nearby bar. Plus you're just one level up from a shared terrace which would be a good spot for yoga and people watching in the warmer months.

*The unit doesn't have its own washing machine but washer and dryer facilities are available in the communal washing machine rooms downstairs, for an extra fee of approx £4 per load. If you're staying long term (monthly) I will pay for weekly wash of linens and towels.

*Professional cleaning: I work with a professional cleaning company and the flat is cleaned immediately before each checkin so a sparkling clean apartment is guaranteed! This cost is factored into the rental cost per week.

*Parking update: Unfortunately, as of November 2023, the car park that used to be directly opposite the flat has now ceased to exist. I would recommend asking your theatre if they know of other affordable parking options in the city centre.

So far I have hosted guests from tours including Titanic, Heathers, White Christmas, Dirty Dancing, Annie, Sister Act, The Commitments, The Bodyguard, Sleeping Beauty, The King And I, The Cher Show, Dreamgirls and many more… so please ask your friends for a reference if they may have stayed here!

The apartment is my home and I’m renting it out while I am based outside of the UK. It would suit guests who are willing to respect the newness of the environment by not throwing parties, and not smoking in the flat. Perfect for one person and can sleep a couple very comfortably.

Distance to theatres (estimates provided by Google Maps):

Liverpool Empire: 1KM / 14 minute walk
Liverpool Playhouse: 700M / 10 minute walk
Liverpool Everyman: 1.1KM, 17 minute walk
LIPA: 900M / 12 minute walk

The key lives at a secure Keynest hub at Lime Street station, so if you're coming and going by train you can collect it on the way! And if coming by car, maybe a cast mate who's coming by train can collect it for you - full details will be given when you book.
