We live in a three storey house, in the really friendly and vibrant Southside neighbourhood of Glasgow. Within minutes of the front door we have independent bakeries, bookshops, pubs and countless other lovely wee shops. The beautiful Queen's Park is also moments away. We are south of the river, very easy commuting from all the theatres in town. Regular trains will get you into Glasgow Central in 6 minutes, and then all the theatres are a short walk away. There are also a lot of bus options too, and we're near the newly built South City Cycle Way, which goes straight into town. There are city bikes you can rent locally.
We have two rooms on our top floor. The top floor is really just for hosting guests so you'd most likely have it to yourself, we would welcome two parties from one company to come along if people would like to stay together. Both rooms and light and airy, fully furnished and with views out across the rooftops. One room is a wee bit bigger. There is also a wee living room upstairs you'd be welcome to use.
The top floor of the house is fresh and airy, and the whole ground floor has recently been totally renovated with a new kitchen and new flooring, a new porch. All of which we're very proud of!
There are two showers and a couple of bathrooms which seems to be enough even when we have a really full house.
We are a couple called Lewis and Iain, and you'd be staying with us and our dogs Larry and Rufus. The dogs are very gentle boys - but will steal any food you leave lying around! You're welcome to use the kitchen, and washing machine. You're very welcome to use the front or back garden too - if the weather is being kind to us!
We enjoy hosting and it's a pretty social house - though our days of wild partying are probably behind us... We both have pretty busy work lives and work a lot from home, so we'll be around but quite often in our office! We're lucky that the house has lots of space, so even if we're all in, people still have their own space.
Lewis is a playwright and Iain works for Historic Environment Scotland, so the arts and culture are right at the heart of our lives so we're always excited to meet people who are working in theatre.
