About these Digs

Living with Host

City Centre of Birmingham  "City Centre Views”.
Comfortable and cosy room available with views of Birmingham city centre.  Less than 5 mins walk to Birmingham Hippodrome and Alexandra Theatres.  (One of the closest digs to Hippodrome and Alexandra)   Ten mins to Bullring if you want to go shopping and five mins from New Street Station.  
Bedroom has a king size bed, 32" tv, large wardrobes and a chest of drawers.
WiFi blinds which with the curtains enables a darkened room to enable sleep there is a remote in the room to adjust if required Bed linen and towels are provided .  Wifi is available.  Bathroom has a bath and shower.
 Kitchen has all the usual stuff - sink, washing machine, microwave, fridge dishwasher and cooker also a Breville one cup for those important morning coffees if required.     Large open plan lounge with 50" TV dining table and chairs.

 *There is a possibility for keys to be dropped off at the stage door. If you cannot make these times please message me before requesting a booking to come to an agreement.

PROS: The bedroom’s clean and has storage. There was space to store my bike. Stuart allowed me to use the washing machine (though not his powder). The sensor-activated lights are helpful after dark. CONS: The ‘City Centre Views’ are completely obscured by condensation between the bedroom’s double-glazing. Stuart’s belongings cover every surface, so there’s nowhere to sit. The bathroom’s looking tired and two taps need mending. Having showed me in, Stuart was monosyllabic for the rest of my stay.

Excellent for Hippodrome. I ended up having the place to myself which was great. Could have done with some soap in the bathroom and sponges to do washing up and the bed had a big dip in the middle but over all it was ok. Thanks!

VERY close to the theatres which is great, however the flat is in need of a refurb. The building feels unsafe at times and the flat still had the hosts clothes in the drawers. Has most things you’d need. Expensive for what it is.

You can’t beat the location of these digs. However it’s just not worth it for me. I stayed in room 1 and the bed was very uncomfortable/broken, you would roll into the centre. The price is very expensive for what you get and it needs some TLC.

An INSANE VIEW, absolutely wonderful spot and only a few mins walk to the theatre. Couldn't have asked for a better location and a decent price too.

Thoroughly enjoyed it made good use of the Big TV (using my ps4).

The flat is superbly located within a 5-10 min walk to the Hippodrome. The view from the flat is great and the lift is definitely a plus. No parking for the building, but there is an NCP (Birmingham Horsefair) around the corner. Simon is very kind.

Easy 10/15min walk to the Rep. Located very close to New Street station. Plenty of shops nearby and about 10min walk into the centre of town. Flat is located on the 31st floor

Stuarts flat was even closer to the hippodrome than I thought possible! Can literally roll out of bed into the theatre. Easy to get to and from work across the road by the traffic lights and a good view! Great value

The worst flat I've ever seen! FILTHY! Dust on everywhere and THICK on top of the fridge! Dead plants all over the flat and the oven is something that should never be experienced by anyone. AWFUL place

This was a convenient flat. You could actually see the Alex from my room. The kitchen was cosy and clean with all the facilities. What made it even lovelier is that it was self contained when me and my colleague stayed here.

I only met Stuart at the start when picking up my keys but he was fabulous and told me everything I need to know. Bed was comfy, lounge was lovely and views across the city are amazing. If can also see stage door to the Alex from the flat so close 😊

Pleasant stay. Host is personable, room comfy & clean Location excellent (Alex Theatre visible from window) but not a salubrious area. Neighbours must be heavy dope smokers or growers as the smell in one of the 2 available rooms was very strong.

Good, spacious, comfortable room on the very top floor of a tower block. The picture for the listing is a green glass building which is the view from the window. Very comfy bed, easy walk to the Alex. Will def stay again next time in Brum.

Stuart was very accommodating and made sure I had everything I needed but then happy to leave me to come and go and do my own thing.

I am currently halfway through my week-and-a-half stay and Stuart has been very friendly and helpful with any questions I might have.

The flat is situated perfectly for easy travel to the theatres (not even 5 mins to to get the Hippodrome!) and is a large room with a tv, so perfect for spreading out! There is also a brilliantly friendly cat for cuddles (if you want), but would also be fine if you weren't too into cats as he tends to mind his own business.

Due to work schedules between us, eve and mat shows, I find I have the flat to myself most of the time.

I do, however, recommend that you do not walk in the Pagoda subway whilst it is dark (especially as a woman), but it is easy enough to walk around the roundabout, and there are usually a lot of people around doing the same thing. Better just to be safe, I have used it during the day without any issues though.
