Cabin in garden in East Oxford near Iffley Road and the river (Oxford)

A self-contained cabin with underfloor heating, kitchen and bathroom, in the garden of a 1930s semi-detached house in East Oxford, near pretty Iffley Village and the river.

Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac with a field at the end of the road and easy access to the river. There is free parking on the road and usually no trouble finding a space.

We are also near Iffley Road where there is a direct bus to the centre of town.

We are about 10 minutes walk from Pegasus Theatre or a 10-15min bus ride in to the centre of town to the New Theatre, The Playhouse and The Old Fire Station. Once in town you can get a bus to Summertown for the North Wall.

The house is owned by Nick and Lizzy who also have 2 sons aged 6 and 2. We also have a cat. Lizzy works in the theatre industry. Nick is a web developer and works from home.

The cabin in our garden is a really tranquil place to stay. You will have your own entrance via the garden gate. In the cabin are; a living space with table, chairs and a sofa/sofabed, a small double bedroom, a desk area, a small kitchen with sink, fridge & microwave, and a bathroom. It also has underfloor heating and internet access.

We have a spacious garden which is a lovely spot to have breakfast in if the weather is nice.

We are also near to three of the nicest pubs for drinking and eating in Oxford! The Magdalen Arms, The Isis Farmhouse, and The Chester Arms.

Whilst the cabin is not wheelchair friendly, it is all on one level on ground level, and has a walk in shower, so might be more accessible for some who have these requirements.

Stayed with Lizzie and Nick for almost 2 months and they could not have been more friendlier hosts.

The bed is extremely comfy and the room is a perfect temperature; room is complete with a desk and chair to do any working at. Shower is reliable and easy to use.

Also, if you're not a driver, the bus into town stops right at the end of the road and is only a 10 minute scenic journey right to the High Street.

Will definitely be looking to stay here first should I return to Oxford!

I just stayed one night, but the bed is comfy, the shower is good and Nick and Lizzy are really nice.

It's a lovely house and a beautiful walk along the river into town.

Will definitely stay here again.
