Getting Around -
For those with a car, there is on-street paid parking outside the property. Local council issued visitor parking permits are £5 per day and can be arranged as an additional cost.
Eltham is also great centre for public transport with easy links by mainline train to central London. Lewisham is 15 minutes away where you can transfer to the DLR going into Stratford and Canary Wharf.
A bus ride will may also take you to North Greenwich to connect with the Jubilee Line. There are several direct buses going into Greenwich town centre where you will find the National Maritime Museum, the Cutty Sark and of course the wonderful Greenwich Park, with the Observatory and Planetarium and acres of open spaces to explore. Greenwich Pier has several services for boat trips on the Thames.
I'm very familiar with the whole of London as I was born in the city and grew up in the local areas so I will be more than happy to discuss the local area and further beyond and will be on hand in planning your journey by public transport.
Neighbourhood -
The area is mainly quiet residential streets with very approachable neighbours. There are local shops and restaurants 5 minutes walk away including chemist, Supermarket, convenience store and newsagent as well as a coffee shop and cafés.
Beyond that, there is Eltham Park and the ancient Oxleas Woods an area of open park and woodland, great for walks! Well Hall Pleasaunce is only 3 minutes walk, with formal gardens and the Tudor Barn restaurant, great for morning coffee or afternoon tea as well as lunch and dinner.
