I only moved to these current Digs in May 2016, so any reviews on this listing before that date relate to my old house.
Two excellent sized double bedrooms in a newly renovated house full of period features.
Full access to kitchen, living room and bathroom amenities, freeview tv in the bedroom, WIFI available.
House is in a quiet safe area of cardiff (Heath) and is walking distance to Cardiff CIty Centre, 15-20 minute walk to New theatre, and a 15-20 minute bus ride to Cardiff Bay Millenium Centre/Cardiff Bay. My property is served well by bus routes. There is a Sainsburys Local and Co-op supermarket 2 minutes from house and there are a number of excellent restaurants including the prestigious Mint and Mustard, Panama, the very trendy 'Society Standard', the classic French style bistro 'The Pot' very close by . The house is also very close to the picturesque Taff trail walk that takes you to the city centre via Cardiff Castle, and the house is ideally situated near the A48 (the main motorway route out of Cardiff.)
Breakfast (cereal, toast, eggs, tea, coffee and breakfast juice,) linen and access to bathroom and kitchen facilities are included in the price. Key for the front door is also provided.
The house is a non smoking property and I do not allow recreational drug use or storage at the house.

I had a wonderful 5 weeks with Julia and Susan. They made me feel very welcome in their home and I had a very comfortable stay. They also have two lovely dogs who love to say hello!

Julia was a delightful and very accommodating host. Lovely house - gorgeous bathroom and bedroom. Beautiful kitchen with offers to help yourself to anything. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely comfy room and house with great links into town and the Bay. Julia and Susan were wonderful welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

Had a lovely week in Cardiff... Julia couldnt have been more welcoming and supplied lots of useful info. The room is v comfortable and I felf very at home!
Certainly will stay again if heading to South Wales.

Absolutely lovely stay with Julia. Lovely home and a beautiful cycle from the train station. Great area with nice places to eat and very hospitable hosts. Would definitely recommend.

Julia has a lovely house tucked away in a very nice, quiet and residential part of Cardiff.
Very clean & tidy, beautifully decorated, very friendly and easy to get on with.
Couldn't have made me feel more welcome if they'd tried.

Julia's house was lovely, warm and homely and so was the welcome! A really comfortable stay with everything you could need, big kitchen, good shower and lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Great Digs - warm and comfortable. Bertie and the cats were affectionate and no trouble (that's Bertie the dog!) and Julia and Susan were lovely hosts. Would certainly book again when next in Cardiff.

An absolutely lovely stay.
Julia was so understanding of my working crazy hours.
The room and house couldn't have felt more homely and comfortable.

A really lovely stay in a beautiful house in north Cardiff - about thirty minutes on foot from the New Theatre.
There's a really comfy bed and good storage. The shared bathroom is next door, which is convenient.
Julia is charming and very helpful.

Julias digs were absolutely wonderful. Honestly the most welcoming and friendly hosts, who made me feel so at home and at ease. Beautiful home and lovely cosy bedroom - would 100 percent recommend these digs to anyone! Thankyou again for having me! x

Julia was an excellent host,House was great, 25min walk to The New Theatre or about £6 in an uber or dragon taxi which is great if two of you stay as shes got two double bedrooms.. Will definitely stay again..

Thank you for the review, I think you qualified as our quietest guest ever, as although you were late returning at night we didn't hear a peep!! Prompt payment for the room also and left the room very tidy.
I didn't see much of Julia due to our schedules but I was delighted with the digs. Beautiful house and they were so friendly. Lovely dog and cat too. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again next time in Cardiff!

Lovely digs. Lovely people. Excellent value for money. I walked into and out of The New Theatre each day, and it took me just under 25 minutes. I strongly recommend this accommodation.

Really one of the best digs I've stayed at. Beautiful house, comfy bed and room, TV/DVD. Perfect location for working in and around Cardiff. Free parking in a safe area. Julia and Sue were most welcoming and friendly with lots of tips on local area.

I stayed for 4 days and I had a lovely time.
25min walk to the New Theatre. Big and spacious room, great bed, free wi-fi - everything was great!
Would definitely come back!

A really comfy bed, in a lovely house, situated in a great part of Cardiff.
Close to the river and Bute Park on one side, the other side of which is the city centre. Just off a really good street of places to eat which surprised me because of the range and quality.
Julia is a great host.

Julia's new house is delightful on quiet street with parking: bedroom is clean and comfortable.
10 min bike ride to New Theatre.
Would stay again.

A beautiful house!
Julia is lovely and offered breakfast and tea.
The room was amazing and spacious.
Wifi available and only 20 mins from new theatre.
They have a cat as well!

Really lovely house and lovely landlady. Comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Has everything that you need; plenty of parking, lovely bathroom, nice kitchen, and great room.
Nice and homely and very welcoming. Will definitely stay again.
